About the team

We don't just build robots. We build what is next. Students lead every step of the way, from CAD to programming, manufacturing to marketing and fundraising.

Built by students, from first sketch to final match.

Founded in 2009 at Escondido Charter High School, Daedalus is more than a robotics team. While others see a competition, we see a chance to learn project management, build real skills, and bridge the gap from theory to reality.

Our design process is student driven, so students don't just master their craft, they teach it to the next class. We've won the San Diego Regional twice, in 2017 and 2022, and represented San Diego at the FIRST Championship in Houston three times.
